SEARCH & RESCUE(formerly And Found ): A 17-minute dialogue-free short war drama that I wrote and directed in San Francisco in December of 2008. The short is about a man who learns that his girlfriend has been killed overseas in military combat and his struggle to come to terms with her death. It stars Nigel Campbell and Kathleen Mulready. GRACE(formerly The Field ): A 4-minute dialogue-free golf short that I wrote and directed in Hilton Head, SC in November of 2008. The short is about an old man approaching his favorite golf hole, trying to find his swing. This is more of a personal short; a project I did just with family, starring my grandfather, Emil, father, BIll, and brother, Whitney. As such, it will only be submitted to a couple festivals. The film was shot on a Panasonic HVX200 camera with a 35mm lens adapter. Out for festival submission, website/trailer available soon.
DEAR ROOMMATE: A short comedy that I executive produced, this film is written and directed by Myron Kerstein, an accomplished editor of such films as Raising Victor Vargas, Garden State, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, and the upcoming Fame. I really responded to the script and tone that he was going for and the film turned out to be fun and sweet. The film stars Chris Marquette and Ari Graynor and was filmed in LA. Out for festival submission.
MONKEYWRENCH: This is a short environmental film that I executive produced, written and directed by the talented cinematographer of Children of Invention, Chris Teague. Chris got me involved with this project while we were working on COI, and he did a fantastic job of making this film work as a drama with very little dialogue. The film stars Sarah Steele and Josh Renfree. Chris shot on the RED camera in upstate NY. Out for festival submission.
